Decades of Focused Breeding

Since 1970, we have built a purebred Suffolk flock with a single focus: sheep that perform in the real world. We haven't chased the trends that have pulled the Suffolk breed in different directions over the decades. Instead, we have stayed true to a type that is moderate framed, heavily muscled, and built to thrive on pasture with minimal inputs.

Our selection has always been data driven. We use NSIP EPDs to guide mating decisions — identifying rams that will improve growth, muscle, and reproductive efficiency in a measurable, objective way. Combined with eyes-on evaluation for structural soundness and breed character, this approach has produced consistent, productive sheep over many generations.

British Genetics & Current Direction

Over the last five-plus years we have incorporated British genetics heavily into our breeding program. These lines have made a significant improvement in the practical performance of our flock — better feet and legs, stronger maternal instincts, and sheep that stay in better condition on pasture. The British influence has been one of the most impactful changes we have made in decades of breeding.

Our seedstock carries pedigrees built over 50+ years — sire lines that are proven producers in our own flock, backed by NSIP performance data. Whether you are looking for a flock sire with the genetics to improve growth and muscle, or replacement ewes that will stay productive and sound for years, we can tell you the full story on every animal we sell. Most of our lambs go to breeding stock buyers or a local broker supplying multiple markets in the Mid-Atlantic region.
